Design Note- this chair is upholstered in a 'hybrid' or bonded leather. Bonded means there are leather parts blended with a textile base. This produces a very nice leather feel and consistency without a crazy up-charge! You end up with a very nice 'hand' and consistency. In our opinion you are almost always better off with good quality leather hybrid than chairs in this price range that claim to be 'genuine leather'. Many times they are of a poor quality and in fact are made from pig skin and have the surface look and feel of a football. Bonded is a great way to go. Our newest generation textiles are top performers and will last for years.
